Heather Croall is a leading Australian arts and cultural executive, currently Director of Carrick Hill. She is widely recognised for her dynamic leadership as former Director & CEO of Adelaide Fringe, where she drove record breaking audience growth and introduced innovative program activation.

Previously Croall was Festival Director of Sheffield DocFest in the UK, elevating it into one of the world’s best documentary festivals, while pioneering screenings and events in heritage sites across the Yorkshire Dales and in the Peak District. Her career spans film, festivals, and cultural strategy, with a strong focus on audience engagement and place-based story telling. In her talk Heather explores how historic homes and gardens can be transformed with bold artistic activations that tell stories with strong connections to the site.

Drawing on her innovative work at the Adelaide Fringe and her international experience, Heather will share insights into blending arts, history and environment to reimagine cultural spaces for contemporary audiences.

Appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), Croall is celebrated for her contribution to the arts, her global perspective, and her commitment to revitalising historic spaces through creative innovation.
