Rebecca Knol is the Chief Executive Officer of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy, the leading industry association representing resource and energy companies, including those who provide services to them.

SACOME member companies underpin the South Australian economy, contributing $10.7 billion to the state economy, 8.3% of South Australia’s Gross State Product, or $1 in every $12.  The sector supports the full time employment of almost 43,000 people and today 1 in every 14 jobs in the State is supported by the resources sector. In 2021/22 the resources sector accounted for $5.9 billion in exports and $380m in royalties to the State Government.

Rebecca has worked in the mining, oil & gas sectors as a consultant, in addition to roles with mining and gas energy companies in Australia and Africa. She joined SACOME as CEO in late 2016 and positions SACOME at the forefront of policy and advocacy leadership in South Australia.
